The subject of earthquakes has remained a hard nut to crack for seismologists and researchers for centuries. No headway has yet been reached and conclusions arrived at on the energy that pushes the tectonic plates against each other in the core of the earth resulting in earthquakes and sometimes tsunamis leading to loss of heavy human life and property. The result is that earthquakes and tsunamis are occurring repeatedly in the same seismological zones and at times in new places causing destruction and taking away thousands of lives.
As far back as 1979, Frank Glasby in his research paper The Influence of Planetary Bodies on Earthtides and Earthquakes said that lunar and solar gravitational forces cause ocean tides with the lunar forces pulling up the water from the high seas and creating high tides and the solar forces creating low tides ultimately resulting in sudden clash of tectonic plates in the crust of the earth to be followed by earthquakes and tsunamis. 3But the research had not inched ahead and nothing concrete emerged to predict earthquakes and prevent loss of human lives, let alone prevent destruction of property.
Despite the abundance of ambiguous seismological theories on what triggers the clash of tectonic plates and when, popular notion pervades the globe that the gravitational pulls and pressures of other planets on earth cause the earthquakes. A sincere effort is made here to explore the relation of planets with earthquakes and do some serious research on timing and predicting the natural disasters
A deep examination of the charts of seven earthquakes that resulted in heavy loss of human life and destruction of property has revealed that there is certainly a clear pattern of planetary influences on earthquakes.
In our solar system, planet Earth is surrounded by Venus on one side and Mars on the other with the Moon revolving around Earth as a satellite in between. Jupiter and Saturn are next to Mars while Mercury and Venus are the closest planets to Sun in order.
Planet Earth is thus directly subject to the immediate influences of Venus, Moon and Mars from the two sides. Mars is also subject to the influences of Jupiter and Saturn. It is established that earthquakes are happening due to the direct or indirect influences of all the five planets-Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn on Earth.
The study is limited to destructive earthquakes resulting in heavy loss of human life and destruction of property. No ordinary earthquakes are considered. It is also not aimed at knowing why these planets are causing the earthquakes but constrains itself to know which planets are causing earthquakes and how to predict them.
The seven earth quakes that are subject of astrological investigation are the Shillong Earthquake in India on June 12, 1897, the Mexico City Earthquake on Sep 19, 1985, the San Francisco Earthquake on Oct 17, 1989, the Latur Earthquake in Maharashtra of India on Sep 30, 1993, the El Salvador Earthquake in Chile on January 13, 2001, the Gujarat Earthquake in India on January 26, 2001 and the most horrifying Fukushima earth quake and tsunami of Japan on Mar 11, 2011.
An analysis of the chart of the devastating earthquake that rocked Nepal killing more than 7000 people and destroying thousands of houses on April 25, 2015 would be uploaded soon. The astrological factors arrived at in the three-part article would be applied to the Nepal earthquake for academic purposes and for your analytical study.
